Guide: Become a master advertiser!

Requirements:

• Patience
• Good english skills
• Any character

Location:

• City/Towns are most prefered because of the number of people if you are advertising through yelling.
• If you are advertising through chat, you may be anywhere.

Procedure:

•  Two methods to advertise your merchandise:

Trade-Chat

1. To begin, open up your trade chat by clicking the small icon located at the top right corner of your chat box at the bottom of the screen.
2. Once it is open you will quickly notice other players advertising items.
3. Find a good period of time, when there is least trade spam which is when many players all post their advertisement at the same time causing others to be lost in them. You can do this when you see that nobody is posting anything, this will capture other peoples' attention.
4. Once you are ready create your advertisement. Making it simple such as "Selling item 1, item 2, item 3." is a bad idea. You want to provide enough information for the following: buying/selling/trading, location, cost (if necessary), other specials, the number of items available. When doing this, make sure to make something that captures other players' attention. Here is one for example:
5. "...:::Selling:::... [x3] Dragon Scale Mails - 40k, [x1] Wand of Inferno [3k]. ...:::Selling:::... Location: Venore! 
6. This would be a bad idea: "seling 10 dsms 45k ab msg quickplz"
7. Make sure to use best English as possible, and don't use abbreviations too much (such as DSM, or WOI, or even BOH) as newbies may not understand.
8. Once you post your ad, wait 2 minutes to post it again (special anti-spam feature), and be patient while waiting for buyers.

Yelling

1. Yelling is also a common method which is very similar to Trade-Chat because you are doing the same thing basically.
2. Make sure when you are going to advertise, go to heavy populated areas where people can hear your message. Yelling has a range.
3. When you are ready, compose your advertisement. Unlike you did in Trade, make sure your ad is short and sweet, don't make it too long. Don't make it too confusing. You don't need to provide as much info.
4. Here is a good example: "SELLING: Dragon Scale Mails - 40k, Wand of Inferno - 3k.
5. Like Trade-Chat, Yelling has a limit. You will have to wait before yelling again.

Tips:

• Do not chat in trade, do not advertise illegal things, etc. Trade is only for selling, buying, and trading items in Tibia itself.
• Do not spam, its violating rules and its not nice.
• Be patient! 
• Both methods should be used at the same time for best/most offers and both are equally good in their own way.
